Accommodation is under thatch and the licensed restaurant offers breakfast, light lunches and dinner. Scenic walking trails along the Msunduzi river, which pass through a variety of nut groves, offer excellent bird-watching opportunities.

The lodge’s bird park has aviaries of exotic birds and Koi fish ponds, while the farmyard houses ponies, rabbits and other farm animals. Both are open daily from 09h00 to 17h00. Other nearby attractions include horse-riding and whale tours in season.
