Of the 2000 ha about half is used for commercial agriculture where Keith runs a Jersey stud producing milk. The rest of the farm has a variety of habitats including fynbos, renosterveld, indigenous forest and riverine thickets. A number of mammals occur naturally; bushbuck & other antelope, porcupine, baboon, leopard and many more. The area is renowned for the variety of bird species that are found here. Guests are welcome to take walks, ride mountain bikes, go birding, swim in the farm dam, tag along with any farming activities or simply relax in the garden or lounge with a book. |
The historic homestead dates back to the early 1700's & is largely
maintained in it's original state. The handcrafted yellowwood ceilings,
floors and doors are all beautifully maintained. The rooms are
furnished in old Cape style.
