This country retreat lies at the foot of the Karoo Mountain Belt, located between the World Heritage site of Baviaanskloof and the second largest national park in South Africa, the Addo Elephant Park. Koffylaagte is home to a wealth of wild life, including 22 species of Southern African antelope, zebra, white rhinoceros, buffalo, giraffe, as well as a rich variety of other land mammals such as monkeys, baboons, warthogs, bush pig, black-backed jackals, bat-eared fox, ant bear, porcupine, civet cat, meerkat, mongoose etc the list is endless.
