The rooms are exceptionally large and there are 3 double rooms. The rooms are all tastefully furnished to a high standard and every room has a view over the gardens or the dam.

Guest bedrooms are all very spacious where only percale linen is used, all have en-suite shower and toilet, are equipped with tea/coffee facility, hairdryers and have a private courtyard with an outdoor shower for those lovely summer evenings. There is a very large lounge with fire-place for the guests; this could also be used as a conference facility. Guests have the use of the garden, along with the swimming pool and patio and barbeque area. Darling House is within walking distance of all the local eateries and just 20 minute drive from the beach.

The buildings and the 10 meter swimming pool are newly constructed. Electricity is powered by Eskom, with a standby generator available for emergencies. There is fresh municipal water plus an excellent borehole. A track runs around the farm, which is suitable for short hikes. Small buck are frequently seen, plus some good birdlife and many tortoises are about. On account of the farm being situated in a conservation area, quad bikes are not encouraged.

This once 1 600ha cattle farm came under ownership of Mr Paul Loubser in 1993 who realized the potential of the land to serve as a reserve and tourist destination. The infrastructure started changing over time with the introduction of a restaurant, bar and accommodation. Only smaller animal species could also be introduced at this time because of the weak perimeter fencing.
