Giraffe, antelope and baboon roam free and frequently forage between the Chalets. You may even spot an elusive leopard high in the hills overlooking the camp. At night the jackals sing you to sleep.
Above all, iZapa is quiet. Whether you're lounging on a deck chair in the river sand at the swimming pool, taking a stroll through the bush or relaxing in your Chalet, the only sounds you're likely to hear are those of the more than two-hundred and fifty bird species found here.

Guests who want to experience the African bush, without sacrificing the comforts provided by electricity, should stay in the lodge. The cool thatched complex offers four spacious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Two large lounges are situated on either side of a the kitchen.
During rare cold spells in winter months, burning logs in ample fireplaces warms both lounges.
If you don’t feel like self catering spoil yourself and get Loodswaai to cater for you. Gourmet meals are served or traditional South African "braai-vleis" is held in the atmospheric lapa.
