Early in 1985, members of the Maluti Centre of the Wildlife Society of Southern Africa, and a number of farmers who own land along Korannaberg founded the Korannaberg Conservancy, an area of approximately 7000 hectares. Wanting to offer nature lovers and hikers the opportunity of visiting and enjoying the area, it was decided to construct a hiking trail. The Koranna hiking trail was opened in September 1985 with three additional trails starting from Merrimetsi opened in 1991. These one-day trails are called the Merrimetsi hiking trails and are colour-coded. Establishment Type: Self-Catering Farm
Amohela ho Spitskop is a 310 hectare Country Retreat in the magnificent Eastern Free State Highlands, on the Clocolan/Ficksburg border.
